A Mcgowan
I’m Alice McGowan and I am very excited to be a new Co-operative Governor here at Blackheath Primary School. I currently sit on the Quality of Education Committee and will focused on supporting the staff and pupils in achieving the best teaching and learning possible. In my day job, I support young people across the West Midlands to achieve their full potential within Higher Education and in my spare time, I work with much younger children in my role as Brown Owl at a local Brownie Unit. I grew up on the Isle of Wight so I spend school holidays there visiting friends and family. I enjoy playing netball and am often found exploring the local canals on weekends.
Marjorie Morris

I have worked in many different roles supporting education over the last 24 years. I am a practicing Christian and attend St. James Church and in my spare time, I help out by providing community dinners for those less fortunate. I am looking forward to the challenges of being a new governor brings.
Sharna Douglas
I’m Sharna, one of the Parent Governors. I have been in this role since 2021 and I am actively involved with the meetings. My working background has been a mixture of care work, youth mentoring, and community engagement. I have been studying a JNC accredited Batchelor of Arts degree in Youth work and Communities for two years.
As parent governor, my role is to bring a parent’s perspective; contributing to Quality of Education for Blackheath Primary School. Children and young people are at the heart of what I do both inside and outside of the school. My aim is to ensure that I contribute alongside other governors to help the school ‘s direction in a positive way and that voices and perspectives that are not often heard, are considered
Am Hayre
I’m Am Hayre one of the Co-Opted Governors. I am a HR Professional with 8+ years of experience working in HR. I have joined the board to make a positive impact on the education and life chances of young people by being part of the finance and Health and Safety committees. I am excited to work with governors, teachers, parents and students in my role.
Outside of work, I am an active walker. A bit of a ‘Dora the explorer’ as I love finding new walks and routes to do. I enjoy travelling and I have a passion for shopping and all things Orange!
